"There are many excellent alternative-style Sauvignon Blancs, La Lapine is the best of them all." - Sam Kim
Three Vintages, Three Amazing Wines.
The Foxes Island La Lapine is a wine that breaks down stereotypes of what one thinks Sauvignon Blanc should be and simply takes one on a journey of taste that is sophisticated, elegant, and timeless. Yes, you can hear glass ceilings shattering everywhere.
The wine is made as naturally as possible, the vines hand-tended throughout the seasons, the very best grapes are selected in the vineyard by winemaker John Belsham then hand-picked and gently pressed to release the juice. The juice undergoes a natural fermentation by the indigenous yeast that naturally live on the grapes. It is not a wild, extraordinary affair, but measured, and precise to yield the exacting structure, flavours and textures John Belsham is looking to achieve.
Sauvignon Blanc is one of the great white wines of the world, and one of the most ageable when made with excellence along the way.
The vertical showcases the 2012, 2013 and 2014 offering the opportunity to enjoy the wines individually whilst also allowing you to understand the difference between respective vintages.
